We understand the decision

Navigating higher education is stressful. Here's what you might be worried about.

For Parents

The concerns we hear most
  • Sending your 18-year-old halfway across the world feels too risky and emotionally overwhelming.
  • Direct U.S. tuition and living costs of $50,000–$70,000 per year place an immense burden on your family.
  • You worry whether foreign credits will actually transfer if your child changes paths later.

For Students

What's really on your mind
  • You want a real American college experience, fluent English, and a global career β€” not endless memorization.
  • You fear feeling lost or culturally overwhelmed at a massive foreign university straight out of high school.
  • You don't want to spend four years somewhere that doesn't open doors when you graduate.

The solution

The best of both worlds β€” a world-class U.S. education without the risks

AUV was built specifically for families who want American academic standards and outcomes while keeping their child close to home during the most formative years.

BENEFIT 01

You save up to 60% on total degree costs

By completing your foundational years β€” or your full four-year degree β€” in Da Nang, you receive the same American liberal arts curriculum at a fraction of U.S. tuition and living costs.

BENEFIT 02

You graduate 100% fluent and career-ready

Every course is taught in English by international faculty. You build real problem-solving, public speaking, and leadership capability that multinational employers actively recruit for.

BENEFIT 03

You protect your academic and personal wellbeing

You study on a safe 30-hectare campus with small class sizes, personal faculty mentorship, and strong peer support β€” eliminating the culture shock that derails so many first-year students abroad.

BENEFIT 04

You get guaranteed credit transfer to the U.S.

Through direct articulation agreements with Arizona State, VCU, UMKC and others, every credit you earn at AUV is recognized when you decide to transition abroad.

Questions

Everything you need to know about studying at AUV

Is an AUV education officially recognized in Vietnam and internationally?
Yes. AUV operates under official authorization from the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). Our curriculum is built on standard U.S. liberal arts accreditation frameworks, which allows your course credits to be fully accepted by our American partner universities.
Do I need an official IELTS or TOEFL score to apply?
No. While an IELTS 6.0+ or equivalent is beneficial, you can also take AUV's internal English Placement Test. If you need to strengthen your language skills first, our American Language Program (ALP) prepares you fully β€” typically one to two semesters β€” before you begin core university coursework. Applicants with IELTS 6.5+, TOEFL iBT 79+, or Duolingo 95+ are exempt from the placement exam entirely.
How does the 2+2 transfer pathway actually work for my family?
You complete your first two years of general education credits at AUV in Da Nang at local tuition rates. Once qualified, you transfer to complete your final two years at one of our partner institutions in the United States, graduating with an official degree from that American university. Variations include 2+3, 4+1 and 3+1+1 depending on your program.
What kind of career support will I receive?
Through AUV's Career Development Center you get direct access to corporate internships, industry mentors, and networking opportunities with international businesses operating across Asia and North America β€” plus the Writing Center and Center for Student Success throughout your degree.
